Macbeth was my first Shakespeare. I would never read that book on my own free will! The movie was SOOOOOOO BORING!!! It was made in the 80's. *ugh!* I liked reading it with my friends, though. That was fun! I got to "play" Macduff (the hero of the story). I was always caught by surprise when it was my turn to read my lines so there was a long pause, then I was like "Oh, sorry!" Some of the readers did better than the actors in the movie! (probably because we were reading it and not quoting from memory) JohnDavid and the Tate boys were the best at acting out their parts (they put feeling into their voices) It was a little weird when Anna or Judyanne had a line a Lady Mecbeth and Andrew Tate would answer "My love. . . " Yuck! Some of us had a hard time reading Shakespeare's work!! Like me!
Macbeth was a really dumb and meaningless story. The dude going crazy drove ME crazy! Lady Macbeth was REALLY annoying. In the beginning, she kept telling her husband to take courage and be a man, and then she went crazy and killed herself! I just hated it :/
the movie was really boring... but don't judge the book based on that awful 80's movie!!!
ReplyDeleteI know! The book was ok. . . but still. I just don't get what message it was trying to send!
